Support packs run in parallel threads?

Hi

Is there a way to parallalize support packs run? One support pack run in parallel threads/ tp processes, so that we can minimize production down time.

Hi,

check note 1127194.

We imported some support packages with parallel=2 on dev and without this option in qas and could see no difference. In SM50 on dev, i could see that two wp were used. The server would have been able to use more processes (cpu, ram). Yet we made no decision if we use this in prd, cause the needed downtime without parallel processes is no problem here.

If you want to minimize downtime, you have to do it in special import method called "Downtime-minimized" way. Follow the link for details.

There is no way to run parallel tp process to reduce the time!
