Hi all,
I would like to have many feedback concerning the new version of PI (7.1).
I've installed and configured my first system and I find it relatively slow. (It is particularly true when using ESR and doing complex mapping). After time, memory is fully occupied and I get sometimes OutOfMemory Exceptions.
Hardware System is a 12 GB RAM
We set 14+12 GB Swap available.
Windows server 2003 + Oracle.
I set only one server node in java stack (with 2, it is worth)
What do you think about PI 7.1 performance ? Dou you have experiences about it ?
Is there any critical configuration steps to do regarding JVM or java stack memory configuration ?
critical OSS notes ?
Thanks a lot for your feedbacks
Jean-Charles
Hi,Charles
PI7.1 default JVM heap size is 2GB.
You can check your Haep memory available in the Web MMC.
http://<yourhostname>:5<SIDnumber>13
Select your Java server node, you can check the memory.
Please checked the following notes,
note 894509 - XI Performance Check
note 1060264 - PI Troubleshooting Guide 7.1
note 1248926 - AS Java VM Parameters for NetWeaver 7.1 based products

Thank you for your help.
I've tested both : lanching ESR on PI server directly. It is OK during a first period of time and after it lags...
On my client machine (4GB RAM), it is correct but I must close and start again the tool every hour...
Moreover I notice in javaws dos command that when closing ESR or IB Directory tool, entry still exist as webstart application opened... Is it normal ?

Hi Jean,
Please refer to the below link

The guide contains many installation and post installation steps. These if followed would help you to extract the max from your system.
