Hi Singh,

For cancelling a job u must have the status as scheduled or active.

On the last day once the job is in the above status ,just delet the job .

The job will be deleted and will nt be scheduled again.

Thanks

Hi Juan,

The job was in released state and was supposed to run at 9. The system did not allow to enter a date and time earlier to the sheduled time. so i gave a time after 9.so that it wont get released again.

If its not SAP standard Job, copy that job to a new job give the timings previous to 9 and delete the old one. If its SAP standard job, delete it and reschedule it from SM36.

Hi Singh,

I am sure this is not the correct answer for your question but try changing the time No START After to 9:00:01 (i.e 1 sec after release time)now the jobs get canceled if it didn't start in 1sec and the next day when you are in office you select the job and delete it completely.

Hope this works.

Hi Juan,

I seeked your suggestion but it is still not working.

The job sheduled is supposed to run every 3 hrs interval. The job was supposed to run at morning 9. So, at 8:30 when it was in sheduled status I gave the input NO START AFTER as at 9:15 but still it got released and got finished at 12.

we can delete a job to stop running on the sceduled date. But what if i need to stop it at a specific time on a holiday. I need not stay at the office to delete the job.

Can you suggest any other way?

I gave the input NO START AFTER as at 9:15

If the job was due to start at 9 then you should set this previous to 9 not after 9.

Go to SM37 -> Select the "released job" -> Change -> Start condition -> No Start After, Date: XXXXXX Time: XXXXXX

That should stop the job from getting released after the require date and time

Regards

Juan

PS:

@vamshi - Question is not related to delete jobs

@lolla - Question is not related to cancel any running jobs

@manoj - Question is not related to scheduling a job (job is already scheduled)

Juan,

It was related to prevent the job from running in the next go.

So it can also be done, by doing a search for the job by selecting schedule and as he doen't want the job to be run he can delete it or as you suggested can change the time.

Vamshi.

Yes, deleting the job will certainly prevent the job for running :-).

But that was not the question.

Hi,

If the job is in Active status...then Execute SM37 then select job -> Cancel active job

Select Refresh and check the job cancelled or not..
