Defining Asset Class

Dear Experts,

When Final Settlements of Projects is performed, is there is any way to pick the assert class automatically? Can we use Schedule Manger for this purpose?

Bit concern about this requirement. Your valuable suggestions are greatly appreciated.

you can however use exit or a BADI for auto asset creation

Thank You for your comment.....

Please elaborate more on that. I am not much aware about BADI's.

Further I am aware standard SAP allows the following process:

1. To create AUC's when releasing a Project for each WBS element.

2. With this when performing month - end settlements project cost would be transfered to previously created

AUC's.

3. Assets should be created manually and fresh settlement rules should be specified prior to the Final

settlements.

I want to know is there away to create AUC's at cost line item level?

And if there is away to define Asset classes which a particular material belongs to prior to Final Settlements ?
