Hi,

Regards,
Bhanu
Hi Prakash,
Yes you can change the document status.
You define the STATUS in Customizing for Document Management (CA-DMS) under
Control Data u2192 Define Document Types.
When you create a document, the system takes into
account the initial status (I), primary status (P), and if the status did not have a previous
status, as well as the implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) Document_Status01.
To change the status of several documents at once, select several documents in a
folder and choose Change Status from the context menu.
If you want to change the status of several documents of different document types, the
system provides the intersection of the possible statuses for all selected documents for
you to choose from in another menu.
Select a status and choose ENTER.
The system changes the status of all the selected documents.

Eswari.

Hi,
the first chance you have is to enter implement a function in the BAdI after status change with a check, and if the user is not allowed to use this status you can raise an exception. The second way is that you use the BAdI-Interface IF_EX_DOCUMENT_AUTH01 which is executed before the document is opened. In this BAdI you can realize an additional check.

Not by individual user ID. You could only do this with an enhancement.
