What is GlobalDataSynchronization(GDS) and how to work with that?

Hi MDM Guru's,

Can anybody make me clear with the concept of GDS and at what cases we need to go with that. How to configure GDS and how to work with that.

Hi Ravikumar,

GDS is a process of synchronizing your product with a global standard platform.For registering the product, some protocols or formats have to be followed.When MDM integrates with GDS, the records from MDM are syndicated to GDS and after approval they get registered.

We use GDS CONSOLE for integrating MDM .

Hi Ravi,

In the present GDS version for MDM 5.5 till 7.1 no major changes have been incorporated for GDS.However SAP has planned for upgradtion and enhancements in the GDS package as well in the next scheduled release of MDM 7.2.
