Dear Gurus,
We are running on ECC6 SR2, Oracle 10g and AIX 5.3 and our current kernel is on 146 and i wanted to upgrade to the latest kernel level available on the service market place.
I request all the guru's to guide me do this as this is on AIX and usually there is a problem in the file permissions after extracting the SAP kernel files.
Please do the needful
Thanks and regards
Hunky

After the kernel upgrade please run the script saproot.sh as per the below link.....
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/3753c4b87b6025e10000000a422035/content.htm

Hi,
Please find below the steps involved.
1)Download the latest Kernel Files from service market place
2) backup the existing kernel file (when the application is down).
3)Extract the downloaded files to a new location using SAPCAR -xvf <file_name> as sidadm.
4)copy the extracted files to sapmnt/<SID>/exe
5)Start the DB & Application.

sam
