EHP2 for Solution Manager Enterprise Edition

Hi

Can anyone please list the main features delivered by EHP2 for Solution Manager Enterprise Edition or point me to where I can find these? And if you only have one Solution Manager system for your landscape can someone confirm if EHP2 will be activated automatically? Will any new functionality still be delivered in the support packs in between the enhancement packages?

It will not be called EhP2. All of the contents that were intended for EhP2 will be included in Solution Manager 7.1. Per SAP, ramp up is scheduled mid 2010.

Hi Maricel,

as far as I know, SolMan 7.1 will go into ramp-up on 20.09.2010. Up to now, there is no date for general availability.

Main features of SolMan 7.1 will be the new E2E Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure and the inclusion of SAP CRM 7.0 (up to now there is CRM 5 inside). So this affects ChaRM, ServiceDesk and many other processes in SolMan and as far as I know, there will be no migration of the current CRM content/processes. Official SAP language for something like that is: "Make sure to close all your CRM-based transactions before starting the upgrade".

I think upgrade from 7.01 to 7.1 will be funny ..--))

Hi Peter,

Availability dates for a potential EhP2 for SolMan are not yet communicated.

Activation would be similar to update to EhP1. It's not automatically.

Any reason why you want to install EHP2 and not the latest one?

Since the first EHP was released no new functionality is in support packages.

This is for Solution Manager Enterprise Edition....we are installing EHP1...what we want to know is what is plan to be released in EHP2..so we understand now what is changing or being proposed to change e.g. we hear the Alert/Monitoring framework may have some major changes.....as EHP2 is (I believe) in rampup....can we have a list of the proposed enhancements for SMEE. I asked about support packs bringing through enhancements as up to this point they have been for Solution Manager...you are not getting confused with ERP?

I have no clue where you get the information about EHP2 for Solman from. EHP1 is "just out" (in late december) and the rampup page (http://service.sap.com/rampup) doesn't show it as actual nor as upcoming.
