Hi all, 2 system landscape. in workgroup Win2003, ECC 6.0,Oracle 10.2

I have added system to Transport domain controller as per the standard procedure.

when i am trying to approve, update or adjust my PRD to DEV it is not being added & showing the following

error

TMS_CI_CHANGE_CONFIGURATION

An RFC error occurred in the TMS communications layer.

Target system: BID.DOMAIN_BID(000)

Function: TMS_CFG_START_DISTRIBUTION

RFC message:Error when opening an RFC connection

But when i tried manually my RFC's are working fine, Pls provide some hints,

Hi Rahul,

There is no need to maintain any RFCs for configuring STMS.

We need to find the RFCs are working fine, which are created during creation of domain controller.

And make sure that your password related pareameters are deactivated or not?

Some times there is a chance to get inconsistancy in adding new system to exixting lancscape because of these parameteres.

FYI: min pasword digit is also effects when adding a new system because system will not create new TMSADM user with conceren password.

Hi all, Thanx for sharinf the ideas

my sidadm & sapserivcesid passwords are changed in both the systems.

So i stopped the SAP* services & tried to restart then it throwred error 1069

http://en.allexperts.com/q/MS-SQL-Server-1801/error-1069.htm

sapsid00 which will run with which will run with Sapservicesid so i reset the same password in services.msc & reconfigured STMS whihc resolved all the errors.

but my TP is still producing errors when im trying to import ., I think TP needs to be upgraded .

Hi all,

Just want to make sure that that both are BI systems.

There was change in IPaddress & hostnames.

So there i have changed in host file in DEV

but apparently the error is same.

Even reconfigured fresh STMS

Hi,

First make sure you are configuring TMS on both ECC systems only.

Delete the whole configuration and again configure TMS.First the domain controller the add other system and approve the other system from domain controller

Well one hint is to check both system hosts file and entry of IP address should be there and you should be able to ping by host name or ip adress.

hi,

Why your BI system added in STMS config of ECC

second thing check your all RFC connections in SM59 -- select RFC and utilitise test connection and authorization.
