Hello,
Initially I have tried to recover the MaxDB liveCache database from the backup done in another computer thru a pipe. So it didin't work and I have canceled it and changed the recover medium from PIPE to FILE and later I executed again the recover from a file but it failed with the below error. The liveCache is of 7.6.04.09 on AIX 5.3.0
Below is the console output
>db_offline
OK
---
>db_cold
OK
---
>util_connect
OK
---
>db_activate RECOVER FULL_SHADOW DATA

The present medium for the recover is below:
FULL_SHADOW /sapdb/data/yanbalAP1/SAVE.DAT FILE DATA 0 8 NO NO 20090305182555 20090306175825 NONE
I look forward on how to get rid of any buffer cache info from the aborted backup/recover from pipe and close it so that I can work the recover with FILE.

Rodolfo Neuhaus
Hello Rodolfo,
According the knldiag file the Owner of your database is 'sdb', Group: 'sdba'.
Please review the documentation at http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/default.htm
-> Basic Information -> Concepts of the Database System -> Administration
-> Special Operating System Users and Groups (UNIX/Linux)
To solve your problem please change the ownership of the backup file SAVE.DAT to sdb:sdba.
Thank you and best reagards, Natalia Khlopina
