How to Unlock objects in XI

Hi ,

While trying to edit my Message mapping , it says Object is currently used /editing by another user . How to unlock the Object .

In ABAP , we can use TCODE SM12 to unlock the object . Is there any way in XI

Exactly. Use this URL for locked IR objects

http://<server>:<port>/rep/support/public/LockAdminService

And this one for locked ID objects

http://<server>:<port>/dir/support/public/LockAdminService

It will prompt for a password, enter your own developer username and password which has locked the object.

Hi,

At times all users are not given the authorization to unlock the objects using the administration tab.

the best way to see the objects lock by the other user is to diplay the change lis of the user who has locked the object,right click and choose transport.Now when you choose your standard change list ,you will be able to activate and open the objects.

Hi, Jude:

As ashwin mentioned, you go to XI startup page, click the link of Administration,

On the left pane, depend on what kinds of objects locked, you have option to select Repository, Directory or Runtime tab -> Administration of Locks and Caches - Lock Overview

Whatever locked objects will show up on right pane, then you can unlock from there.

Hi Jude,

Go to SXMB_IFR ---> XI start up Page ---> Administration tab --->Lock Overview on left side.

Here you will find the list of locked objects of your scenario of all the users present on XI server.

Click on the objects and unlock it.

Hi,

you need to display the change list of all users (right tab in the left window). There you can take over the object to your change list.
