I have a standby server in R/3 landscape, i manually copy archive files from primary server to standby on daily basis and then perform manual recovery using sql query "recover database until cancel using backup controlfile", then it applies archives in sequence to the standby server, but one of the archive is missing from the sequence and it stops the further processing of applying archives to the standby server. i searched the whole drive but didn't find that specific archive file. Is there any way that we can execute maual recovery without this archive number?
waiting for your response.

As its a stand-by server you can always do a new full backup on the source system and that will save you the trouble.

Hi,
You cannot do the complete recovery if archive log file is missing. You can do the point in time recovery based on date/time or SCN or LSN. Secondly check if that archive log file is available at source.
I would suggest you to use BRtools for the backup/recovery.
Hope this helps.
