error while running sales order

HI ...ALL ..

In va01 while creating sales order for particular sales area , one error message is coming that material is not maintained in particular storage location . It is actually a scrap material .And in its material master view storage location is not maintained ....

Pls advice ...

What kind of material type you are using to creat SCRAP material?

- First check in MMSC whether you have maintained the scrap storage location

- Next in MRP2 (or MRP3) view, you can see a field Prod storage location. You can try to maintain here and retry. In fact since I dont have access to SAP right now, not sure on the views but in either of the MRP view, you can see this.

Hi,

Also please check your stock postings in MB1C whether same plant and storage location is maitained or not so that delivery will be an issue.If its not matching to material master S.loc again u will get error in delivery.

in my process only sales order then billing use to happen . There is no delivery and stock for scrap material . while running sales order ...it's throwing error ...

Hello Sundar,

Please try creating the storage location view in MM02 and also check if th4e storage location is added under MMSC for that particular material...

Check whether material is extended in that SLOC or not ?

for any material there should be a storage location unless it is service material. so we have to maintain storage location views in MM02 again. revert back if error is not that
