Problem with PLMD_Audit response time

HI Gurus

I have a problem with PLMD_AUDIT transaction. Response time happens to be very slow while accessing questions and findings. Also it takes a long time while maintaining some data in the audit as well. Any idea how can i over come this. Do i need to do any performance tuning or any SAP note available?
