Database connection from Web Dynpro application through JDBC

Hi All,

I need to access a java dictionary table of a different server from my application. But I dont have any idea that how to connect to the database of a different server.

Can we connect to the database of different XI server through JDBC from a web dynpro application?

P.S. - Servers are on the same network
