How to Recover Deleted Mappings... Urgent !!

Hi

By mistake someone deleted high complex mappings from our development system. It will take us days before we can recreate these.

Is there a way we can recover the deleted mapping?

Please advice asap.

Hi,

In your IR go to change lists. In the UserName, specify the userid through which the deletion was made.

In the standard change list of your software component, find the message mapping.

Right click and reject change.

This would be feasible only if deletion has not been activated previously.

Hi Eric,

I dont know if you have activated your change list.Incase you havent you can go to your change list, right click and say reject changes.

This works provided you havent activated your change list.

Hi Eric,

first you should check in the change list of the person who deleted the mappings if the deletion has been activated already. If not, you can simply reject the changes.

If the deletion is already activated you should be able to retrieve the objects the following way (at least it worked for us):

1) Create a new mapping under the exact same name.

2) Go to the history of your mapping object. You still should find the history of your objects prior to the deletion.

3) Click on the last version before it got deleted. You have your old mapping back. From here you can copy it to a new name and then copy it back to your original.

We have this mapping available to us as earlier extract from text preview.

Can we import the mapping back from text preview ?

Please help...
