For installing SAP on i5/OS, you don't have to separately install DB software (DB400) which is fully integrated in OS (i5/OS). It's indicated in the installation guide.

Hi

For i5, the database comes as part of the OS installation. Unlike Oracle, SQL Server etc, you need the database CD when you are installing the SAP.

For i5, you no need to have Database CD. Also for Database related fixes such as DBFix, you need to get it from IBM.
