Can anybody help me? Is full-blown language version of Portuguese needed to be installed on ERP? We are on 4.6c with mainly English and 4 other languages with implementation in countries all across the world

Thanks

Rajas

Theoretically, you can access all brazilian localization functionalities while logged with EN language (e.g. transactions, special tabs etc.).

However, there are several customizings that MUST be done in PT language.

One example is the descriptions (e.g. CFOP descriptions) that are to be printed in the invoice (Nota Fiscal), since the printing program of Nota Fiscal always reads the values maintained in PT language (as required by brazilian government), regardless of the language the user is logged on.

So, my opinion is that PT language must be installed at least for the customizings, even though you might log in EN for the daily operations.

Regards,

Henrique.

PS: please use these forums just for questions in portuguese language.

Hi Henrique.

Your response helped me so much since it was my question too. Thank's very much for your feedback.

Could you please clarify if is there any official SAP documentation with that information?

Thank's very much

Kind regards.

Hi Marcelo,

please have a look at the Globalization Knowledge Base:

https://service.sap.com/gkb

> select SAP product: SAP ERP 6.0

> select solution: ERP Financials and operations

> Select countries: Brazil

On the Overview screen:

> Language Information

> Language Acceptance (Experience by SAP): Official language(s) only
