Can some one explain my abt copy control? I cant find a detailed description abt copy control. Thank you......!

Hi,

Copy control is the process which is used to copy data from

one document to other when u r refering a document to create

another..there are three important elements in copy control

copying requirements-- the conditions which have to be met

if copying has to take place

Data Transfer Routines-- Its an program which says which

field are to copied from the source documet to which fields

in the target document

Switches-- additonal process that u wish to perform along

with copying the data..

In SD we make sure to maintain copy control for the following areas:

Sales documents,Deliveries,Billing documents.

In Sales, copy controls are for:

Sales document to sales document VTAA

Billing document to sales document VTAF

In Deliveries, copy controls are for:

Sales document to delivery VTLA

In Billing, copy controls are for:

Sales document to billing document VTFA

Delivery to billing document VTFL

Billing document by billing document VTFF
