Combining two System ID (SID) becoming one SID,is this possible?

Hi all,

I have two different R/3 4.7C system that needs to be upgraded to ECC6. System A is a HRMS on a RedHat Linux platform. System B uses FiCO module and runs on windows.

Both system runs on Oracle 9i database with seperate System ID (SID).

Currentlly, our user wants these two system combine to be one system in a box with just one SID. The new platform would be Windows. Is this possible using homogeneous/heterogeneous copy method?

No, there is no standard procedure for this. The same thing was done at our place, they exported the HR client and imported it as a new client into the FI system. But this is a custom procedure, which has to be planned and tested very thouroughly. Additionally there is no way to combine this with a SAP upgrade.
