Hi Experts,
I am activating availability control for budget using Activation Type 1- Automatic activation. Set tolerance limit as 90 and using Action 1- Warning.
When i budget in CJ30 by copying 100 % planned cost, it gives a warning saying availability check and i save it as i felt it is a standard. SAP behaviour.
In project, when i confirm the activity till 100% actual cost posting i dont get any warning message at all. But i tried adding new activity and planned cost in the same project later. So when it exceeds even little more than 100 % budget value and i try to save it, that time the Warning message is triggering.
Please suggest a solution.
Regards,
Kabir
Also, don't forget to run CJBN everytime you've done any changes on budget setting

Hi Prabu,
When i save the budget in CJ30 itself the availability control check and gives me warning message then i save it.
But i want this warning to be triggered after actual cost posting / confirmation of activities and during saving of project in CJ20N. It triggers Availability control Warning message only when actual cost exceeds 100 % whereas i want it to be done for 90 %.
Please advise.

Kabir
1-check again ur tolerance limit,
make sure u have set action as "1" for warning at 90%
and u have set action as "3" for error message at 101%.
2- check the cost element u r using is not under exempt cost element.
3- chech any user status is restricting in activation the availability control.

Hi Ashis,
I have checked the following also,
1. I have used Action '1' for 90 % . I didnt use other actions 2 & 3 even.
2. Cost element that we are using is not under exempt cost element
3. I have not maintained any user status.
Couldn't understand why Warning is triggered after 100 %. It should trigger at 90 % itself
Please suggest.

Kabir
Hi Nitin,
I ticked on Releases indicator also in OPS9. It's not solving the issue
Following changes happend,
1. It's not triggering warning even when it exceeds 100 %. Earlier it was triggered.
2. No warning message when i save budget in CJ30. Earlier it was triggered
So i have now unticked again on the releases indicator. Same condition prevails.

Kabir

Hi Nitin,
Thank you for the reply.
I tried the following;
1. Did budgetting in CJ30, copied 100 % planned cost and saved it. Got warning message while saving.
2. Released 90% budget in CJ32.
3. Then confirmed activities in CJ20N and actual cost posted for project. Again, till 100 % no warning message is triggered. But when it crosses slightly 100 % of the actual cost, then warning message is triggering.
Please advise if the above process is correct. Issue remains.

Kabir
Hi Nitin,
I did as you said above. Its triggering the error message when the actual cost exceeds 100 %. It's working fine though i didnt try for this action 3 earlier.
But i dont understand why its not triggering action 1, warning at 90 % or more. Anymore suggestions please.
@Kealin - Thanks for the reply.
Thank you,
Kabir
Hi Rifaee,
Following is the warning message i get during budget saving in CJ30. I copied 100 % of planned cost for budget.
*Budget Checks / Availability Control
Warnings were detected
Do you want to save your entries?*
To all others: Warning message, action 1 is not getting triggered above 90%. But error message, action 3 triggers above 100 %. Issue remains. Any clues please?

Hi
Kindly check for which activity groups you had activated.
Thanks
