Communication error with the external tax system (VERTEX_MS0018)

Dear All,

I am getting the following error:

Communication error with the external tax system (VERTEX_MS0018)

when I am trying to make the bid invitation in SRM 5.0.

I have deleted vertex RFC from SM59. I have selected "no tax calculation" in SPRO.

Deafult country is India. I don't know why this error keeps coming?

Hi,

Have you maintained any entries in Define logical system or Define backend systems also for vertex.Remove all these entries and try. Do a buffer refresh, if this doesn't help.

if you dont want for some time you can lock the rfc users.

Thanks for your replies. There is no logical/back end entry for Vertex. One entry was there for RFC which I deleted long back.

The setting is in SPRO.

Cross app components>SAP business paretner>Business partner>tax Jurisdiction>Using NonSAP tax software.

i am getting the same vertex_ms0018 error, could u pls tell me how to get rid of it. i did try all the bits i got from net.

i am unsing eec 6.0

i am into fico. and pls ellaborate what u write so i can get it easily.
