Withholding Tax in SRM invoice

Does anyone know how the process for Withholding Tax works in SRM.

We are on SRM 5.0 SP12 ECS. In backend ECC system withholdign tax is set and working correctly. In SRM we will be entering invoices and have maintained the vendors in customising in SRM. However, when entering an invoice in SRM where the vendor is active for withholding tax, there is no tab to maintain the labour amount and the invoice is posted in the backend with a zero value against withholding tax key.

Is there some customising missing to allow the withholdin tab to be available in SRM? According to other threads it seems that it should be there. I have checked all documentation and the only setting it refers to is the IMG activity for withholding tax. Yet we cannot maintain withholding tax when entering an invoice in SRM.

Hi Monica,

Hope you have found answer to your question re witholding tax. I'm facing similar issue - have maitnained customisation in SRPO (activate witholding tax for vendor per logicalbacked/companycode), but still not getting the WH tax field in EBP invoice screen.

Appreciate if you can share.

Thanks.

We are on SRM 7.0, extended classic with an R3 4.7 backend. We have the same issue, we have done the customziing for witholding tax and the vendor master is setup for witholding tax. However, the accounting document in R3 is not updated with any witholding tax data.

If we create a manual invoice directly in R3 for that vendor the witholding tax works, so it's definitely an SRM issue.

hi,

Youhave to do the below customizing setting in SPRO to activate the withholding Tax for vendor.

Goto SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Tax Calculation-->Activate Withholding Tax

Hope this will solve your problem

Hi Sachin,

Thanks for your response. We have already maintained the setting for activating withholding tax in the IMG. The issue remains....
