can anyone of SD Gurus tell me the simple example where you can use this feild &
at the sametime the relationship/dependency between the Dchain-Spec-Status in Sales Org 1 in Maetail master
in relation to both feilds , how to use in different ways.
thanks and regards
pls help out
Hi,
For ExMaterial-A100
Sales Area-------1000/10/10,1000/20/10,1000/30/10
The sales statuses can be defined in Logistics General>Material Master>Settings for key fields>Data relevant to sales and Dist>Define sales statuses.
you can define your own reason and in the customisation settings u can set it like warning message or error message while creating an order like that.
Now if u assign the status in the field X-dist chain status-----then the user can not create a order for that particular material for the above three sales area.
If the same is assigned(for 1000/10/10) in the field D-chain chain status---then the user can not create the order for that particular dist channel --10.
Regards,
Gopal.

Hi,
the following example describes it well
there is one material no.100-100,
business wants to sell it through all the distribution chains (we have master data sharing facility in sap for all dis chain) and material extended. but later on it wanted to discontinue to one particular distribution chain like 1000/10/1000 (s.org/dch/plant) then we give by going to this combination into MM02/Sorg-1/Distribution-chain-specific material status and give suitable value.
the second field is quite opposite to first one i.e. sell it through one restrict to all.
hope u understand,

Already you got responses to the same question I believe. I feel the suggestion given in your earlier thread is more than sufficient. Still you need any further clarifications, please post the same in one thread.
More importantly, please close your earlier threads wherever possible.
thanks
