Solution Manager 7.0 Maintenance Optimizer

Hello all,

When downloading the SPS items for Solution Manager (source: SPS 14, target SPS 16), about 16 items went into the Download Basket while 35 others went into the "Approval" tab.

How do you get the items from the Approval tab to the download basket (without using the Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer)? If it is necessary to use this, where can one find information on how to configure it?

Hi Harris,

In se38 run program

/TMWFLOW/RMOBASKETAPPROVAL

you will get all the itmes which are in the approval list.

Just approve them here and you can then download them.

/TMWFLOW/RMOBASKETAPPROVAL.

but it did not list the items in the Approval Basket

Is there some place where I can enter the ID and password to get to OSS? Also, does this ABAP require the SAPOSS RFC to be working?

Thanks for the information.

When looking at the blog: /people/issacnolis.ohasi/blog/2008/01/04/upgrade-sessions-whats-sap-solution-manager-maitenance-optimizer

It mentions that one would need to go to :

SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide -> SAP Solution Manager -> Advanced Configuration -> Basic Settings -> SAP Solutin Manager System

Under this are several items:

-> General Settings

...

-> HTTP Services

-> Connection to SAP

...

etc.

Where is the documentation to work with these items? My thoughts are that these need to be done before starting to configure the Maintenance Optimizer.

After the installation, ran the post-installation steps and all seemed to go well. The list of these items were not there (as part of the post-installation steps).

you can find all the documentation in the SPRO activities only when you follow the path given in the documenatation,along side all the activities,there is a documentation telling what has to be done

Hello Harris,

you will have to approve them through maintenance optimizer in solution manager before you can download.It is necessary otherwise you can't download.

You can configure the maintenance optimizer in solution manager using the following weblog:
