Hi All,

I'm trying to open ESR (Enterprise Service Repository) in local desktop, but i'm getting error of "An error occurred while launching/running the application." Basically it is not able to launch any file and giving error for Parsing error too.

I have tried different version of java for this ESR to display, but no luck, so please let me know, if anyone has any clue about it.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

This is definetely an issue with the wrong JRE version, search JRE for PI 7.1, may be deleting the previous java version and loading the proper version again might help.

Hi,

I could now open ESR, may be some problem due to FQDN to my server was not set.

Anyways, i'm now still facing issues with opening of Integration Directory.

When i try, i just get following message--

Preparing Java(TM) Web Start Applications

This procedure may take a few minutes

Try again later.

Please let me know, what can i do for solving this...

Thanks,

Anand.

Hi,

just check with your network team whether the HTTP and JAVA ports of your XI server are open on firewall......so that you can access ESR from your machine.

Also check if you have installed JAVA Web start in your local desktop machine......you will need to have JAVA web start installed in your machine to open ESR in your machine.

Yes, ports are already opened.

Also java web start is installed. I think for ESR, we need specific java version in my local machine, but i'm not able to get which one.

Can anyone help me out in this?

Hi,

use either JRE 1.4 or 1.5 even JRE 1.6 also works

If you are using either of the above JRE versions, then tell in detail the error msg you are getting on opening ESR in your machine by clicking on view details.

Hi

For PI JRE version has to be higher than 1.5

Any higher version of JWS is OK (ours is 6).

1.5.0_02 works fine for both 7.1 & 3.0 (others gave issue w.r.t to compatibility of both XI/PI, & buttons were disabled sometimes inside ESR/IR/ID etc)

however, in JNLP runtime settings we have both these enabled (1.6.0_11 & 1.5.0_02)
