webdynpro DC in VC CE7.1

Dear Experts,

Greetings.

I would like to know whether there is an option to consume a webdynpro component in VC CE 7.1 ( Not 7.1.1 ).... If yes, kindly guide me thro' the steps.

There is no error when I try to drag the DC into the story board.

I tried with VC CE 7.1.1 as well and I'm facing the same problem.

does it have something to do with access/permission related things?

Just to make sure - did you open the error view (Window> Show View>Error Log)?

I tried Help > Create error report

But couldn;t understand anything though

Search returns the DCs...hope there should be a way to drag them to the story board

Have you expanded the DC to view the components? and then drag one of the components?

If WD components search is available in the "Search" panel, it is supposed to work

Please let me know if this is the case and will try to sort things out

Yeap....all the WD components (declared as Public Part) are available when I search for WD components in VC...it would be of great help if someone could temme why I'm unable to drag the DC/Application to the story board

In some cases this happens if you did not build the WD DC after adding the component to the PP

Please try build/rebuilding the WD DC and search/drag it over again

We have very extensive feature in CE 7.1 (EHP 1), Where it provides the main theme of component that

Reuseness of the component even in different framework . But it is not there in CE 7.1.

Thanks for your effort and time in answering my query.

According to an article from SDN, I tried declaring my webdynpro component as a public part to get access from VC......in VC when I searched I could get the component...but I couldn't drag it to the story board..
