Dear SAP Friends,

I am working on DMS.

I had attached one drg.in MM02 which is actually saved on another Computer. On my PC I want to view that one.

I give the data as path, data carrier in configuration.

But I am unable to view that drg.on my PC.

Can you please give the details, how to proceed?

This may be due to config issue related to data carrier. Please find the link with the same issue

Default path

Path under which an original application file is displayed if the file has been saved to the SAP database, an archive, or a vault.

Use

The frontend computer needs this path to display original application files that have already been saved to a secure storage area.

Secure storage locations cannot be accessed by the display program. For this reason, the system creates a temporary copy, which can be accessed by the display program using this path.

The file format for temporary files of all applications is TMP. In step "Define workstation applications", you can define file formats for specific applications (for example, ".DOC)

Check and revert back

I am tring as per the instuction,but still unable to view the Drawing.

I can't find the missing points.

could you please tell us the error message and error number you get, when you display the file.

Did you also maintain the necessary customizing in transaction DC30?

following is the error found in MM02 while view.

File D:\temp\cOMPUTER NO 1\Drawing\Drawing PFPL\D Part could not be accessed

Message no. 26136

Also I am doing configuration in DC30.

Please tell what is to be require?

Hi Christoph,

I am having a similar issue and not sure what is the best way to proceed.

Any chance you can provide a checklist of items for me to investigate in order to resolve.

In DC20 , in define data carrier type " server , front End: Maintain

Type ( date carrier type) : PC

Description : PC Windows

Path : c:\temp\

online : Tick

Also maintain Type ( date carrier type) : 01, Rest all same

please check and revert back

Discription-:XYZ PC

Tick on Online & vault

Define vault-:Data carr. name pftlcomp

Data Carr. Type PA

Description XYZ computer

Vault path-:No entry(keep blank)

DVAcomputer-:No entry(keep blank)

Define data carrier type "server, front end"-:

Any setting missing?
