Hi,
Anyone can help on this. Before oracle upgrade, currently our program swaps space allocated is 800,000kB and everything is ok, no swaps at all. But after the oracle upgrade, the program swaps are increasing everyday. So we decide to increase to 1,200,000kB. For one week, it's look fine. But again after that program swaps are increasing again up to 25,085 swaps until today.
Anyone can help to give me a clue what to check and how to solve this issue.
Thanks
You mean the swap ins ST02?
This is not related to an Oracle upgrade. Those buffers are SAP buffers independent of the database.

Hi,
Chk wht is consuming for swaping, Oracle upgrade is not responsible for swaping but there could be other factors like high data in and out since if this was recent upgrade it take time to settel down.
Program swaps are happening will not be of much concern and can be ignored, (according to SAP note, i couldn't recollect note number)
Regards...

Hi,
We had increased the abap/buffersize to 1200000 kB. Before this it is 800000 kB. But again swap is high after the increasing. Some said that this swap issue can be resolved by new kernel patches 251. I'm not so sure about this. Anyone can confirm it?
I know that swap issue can be ignored. But I think there must be a way make it "0"swap in a day.
Anyone expert on this swap thing. Please help.
Thanks.

Did you adjust Oracle memory parameters according to SAP note 830576 ?
