Inbound Delivery could not be distributed

Former Member

Using EWM and it is on the SCM server. Have set up the connection between ECC and SCM's EWM. When I post an inbound delivery in ECC, I get the following error:

Message no. VL589

Inbound Delivery could not be distributed

Inbound Delivery cannot be distributed to the decentrally

managed warehouse to warehouse number EW2. The prerequisites for

picking/putaway, goods movement, and distribution are not fulfilled.

This message tells me to look at any errors using VL32N, but there are no errors. The message also suggest I look at VOFM for routines, but these all check out ok.

Any ideas on how to address this error?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Please check your business system settings in EWM using sap note 1247701. Also verify sap notes 1292717, 1232119, 1239007 whether belongs to your business scenario.

Hello Senthil,

Thank you for the information. I have gotten past a couple errors with your help. Now I am getting an error as follows:

Could not determine a supply chain unit for ERP warehouse number EW2

The delivery document from ERP contains a plant for which Extended Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) cannot find a corresponding supply chain unit.

Any ideas on this one? I do have a SCU set up and it is assigned to my warehouse.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Check the Supply Chain Unit in EWM and the assignment to Warehouse Number.

Also Check the SCU Hierarchy.

Hope this helps.
