ICM running but no server with HTTP connected error after kernel update

Former Member

Hi,

I have installed PI7.1 and am attempting to follow the post installation steps where the latest kernel (127) is installed and then apply ABAP and JAVA SPS 7.

After applying the kernel, I am unable to go to http://servername:50000. I see the below error message as found in other threads.

503 Service not available

-

Error: -6

Version: 7010

Component: ICM Java

Date/Time: Fri Feb 27 10:57:25 2009

Module: http_j2ee2_mt.c

Line: 773

Server: mtlpar58_DXI_00

Error Tag: {-}

Detail: ICM running but no server with HTTP connected

I followed the other thread where I added the icm/host_name_full = servername.corp.com (FQDN). Stopped, cleared all shared memory etc. and restarted. This still did not resolve my issue.

We see the following error in the dev_icm log file.

[Thr 1800] *** ERROR => IcmJSessGetServerList: no more memory for 0 entries [icxxjcom_mt. 6819]

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

The latest Kernel is 135 and i have installed on my PI 7.1 machine.

1. Make sure all the ABAP and Java instances are up and running in SAP MMC

2. Can you please check the ABAP WP table and see all the process are running.

3. Please post the ICM trace and map the IP address to the host name correcly in the hosts file.

4. Go to SMICM and check whether HTTP service for the port 50000 exists.

5. Map the fully qualified host name and just the host name to the IP address in the Hosts file

Thanks,

Raj

Hi Raj,

Thanks for your response.

1. I can start the MMC via port http://server:50013 and see that everything is running, but I do see a yellow on the DVEBMGS00 (says some processes running). Under the AS Jave -> process table, we see that server0 is stopped. I am unable to start it from this URL.

2. All the ABAP WP Table processes are running.

3. Please see the icm trace below posted.

4. The service for port 50000 exists and is active in SMICM.

5. The IP address is correct in the hosts file.

I found note 1025085 which explains how to complete the manual import of the SAPJVM 5.1 patch including the JCE files.
