SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR failing on alternate hours.

Hello All,

Please help me with the following situation.

We have scheduled standard SAP job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR for every hour and it gets canceled every alternate hour (i.e. even hours). The short dump RAISE_EXCEPTION with exception condition CANT_GET_LOGICAL_DESTINATION is generated.

I've tried searching for solution on sapnet, sdn, Google but to no avail.

Please help.

Dear Send me the job log...

and check your system RFC

most probably..your system RFC with others server are not ok...

may be this can be the reason...because SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERMONITOR job for collecting performance.....

Hi,

thank you all for your help. I tried the solution provided in SAP Note 199586. Although, it does not talk about my specific issue, however, I tried solution 1 and after that job is running fine.

I guess the report should be RSHOST3M, you can check the dump for more details regarding the termination and post the same here.

Hi,

What is the name of the program that causes the error (you'll find that in the dump)? The SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR job executes a whole suite of programs - some of which indeed run every other hour - and it is essential that you find out which one gives the problem.
