Hello All,
I am trying to start the SRM Application monitor on my SRM 5.0 system using the following path:
SPRO - IMG - Supplier Relationship Management - SRM Server - Cross-Application Basic Settings - Start Application Monitors
I am facing the error:
" Error starting appl. monitor for client 000 and 001; processing terminated
Message no. BBP_ADMIN064 "
Please help.
Thanks,
Shahid Ahmed.
Hi Shahid Ahmed,
the issue is most likely related to lack of free space in virtual
address space of the process. Please perform following steps:
1) Activate /3GB option in boot.ini......check note 110172 for details
2) To improve performance of your system:
Please activate "Optimize performance for network applications" in
the properties of "File and Printer sharing for MS networks" of any
NI adapter. This is related to Basis.
Please also check and adjust your memory parameters, see note 166551.
I.e. I would advice to run
"sappfpar check pf=<profilname>"
and to increase the value for
ipc/shm_psize_10
Kind Regards
Michael Haslinger

Changing memory parameters did'nt solve the problem in my case.
But this suggestion from SAP did:
You could set alert/MONI_SEGM_SIZE to 120000000. This means that the CCMS shared memory will allocate only 120 MB of your memory.
Please retry starting the application monitors and if it still fails, kindly add additional 60 MB
to the parameter value.

Kenneth

Hi,
I had same error few years ago.
I think system admin changed memory parameter in server side.
Can you monitor error in RZ20 ?

Masa
