Actually, when trying to open the links from service.sap.com/pam in IE7.0, an error occurs, making it unable to open the link <a href="https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1ubCZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/support/scl/root.do">'Product Versions available soon'</a> (which actually is a WebDynpro or BSP)...... Error message is: 'Object does not support this property or method'.

So, there definitely is a problem with IE70 and WebDynpro / BSP..... Also some XI problems have been reported with IE70. Probably the OSS note can tell us something about this, but that one's probably available SAP internal only!

If you search for this note via SDN search, do you also get that URL that doesn't work?

Armin,

If I search SDN for note ID, then I get not direct URL at all, only forum posts that mention note ID.

The most strange thing is that I get same response on Service Marketplace when searching for note... Search for other notes works fine.

Strange.

I can access the URL given above also from home computer. SDN search in "SAP Support Notes" also works for me.

IE7 will be released in the next weeks. Web Dynpro will support it with the latest service packs in all releases.

Hi Florin,

the support for the different browsers can be found in the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) under <a href="http://service.sap.com/pam">http://service.sap.com/pam</a>, then SAP NetWeaver, then, SAP NetWeaver04s, for example. In the PPT there's also a slide on browser support.

Hi Florin,

It will be published in PAM as soon as it is officially supported, posssibly in NW2007. You can always use the Feedback button in the SAP Service Marketplace under PAM in order to ask this kind of question.

IE 7 is still in Beta. I don't believe that Microsoft has even set a public release date for the final version (although it is rumored to be released simultaniously with Windows Vista). I wouldn't expect SAP to make much mention of it until at least it has an offical release date.

IE7 is in public Beta with Beta 2. So, I've begun testing it with all of our webs and software, which includes SAPGUI. So far, I've found that the results from a Transaction ST04 "SQL Request" query has a blank page for the top header.

Microsoft calls on consumers to test IE 7 Beta 2

CNET URL: http://news.com.com/2100-1032_3-6064524.html

<SNIP>

"With the latest version of IE 7, Microsoft is hoping to identify more compatibility issues with the browser before they become widespread problems. Hachamovitch said that most Web sites are displaying fine in the new browser, though there have been some bugs, particularly with sites and software that have taken advantage of certain IE 6-specific tweaks."

When testing with XI there was a problem with a number of tags on the html pages reporting problems.

This was solved using the IE6SP2.reg file downloadable from: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx

Select the "Q. The website I'm trying to access doesn't recognize Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2". This registry change spoofs IE6.

Per Microsoft...

"You cannot use the SAP GUI with Internet Explorer 7 RC1. A fix for the issue will be available in patch level 20 of the SAP GUI for Windows 6.40 and patch level 64 for Windows 6.20, later this summer."

the msi available from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx still does not fix the problem for us.

We cannot dnload documents from km iviews, nor do many of the iviews and open/close option, and many of the iviews links, buttons within the portal still do not work after applying the utility.
