Time out calling CCM 2.0 from SRM

Former Member

Hi All,

I have a CCM 2.0 (CSE & CAT) system on the same box as SRM 5.0. I've set up the integrated call structure and entered a user in the SICF service but when I try to access the catalog via SRM, I'm getting a message saying "Your session has timed out - call up SAP Catalog Search Engine again in SRM."

Does anyone have any ideas as to why I may be getting this?

Thanks,

Paula.

Paula: are you setting up per SingleSignOn scenario or Anonynous Logon? I think, in SSO case, EBP needs to be a trusted system (talk to your technical team). I get exact same error if I try to call CCM from my EBP, but we're using Portal, which is in our case the "trusted" system.

Hi Serguei,

I'm setting up anonymous logon. I am getting the following error messages in SLG1:

Catalog <CatalogID> not found

No logon data was passed on

I did some testing and I get the same error message even though the <catalogID> doesn't actually exist in CCM, which makes me think that somehow SRM is not connecting to CCM...

Thanks,

Paula

Paula: what value do you have in the integrated call structure for the CatalogID parameter? It should be the <b>ID</b> of a catalog that you have published, e.g.:

30 CATALOGID /CCM/MASTER_CATALOG Fixed Value

Have you published this catalog?

Do you have views defined for this catalog?

Do you have those views assigned to your EBP user (e.g., via role)?

Do you have TREX running?

Cheers,

Serguei

Thanks Serguei for the tips. My TREX wasn't running properly so the catalog wasn't actually published. But am currently having problems publishing...

Hi Paula,

(1) do a double click on the above mentioned log entry

-> you get the list of application log messages for this log entry in

the lower part of the SLG1 screen

(2) locate the first error message (with a STOP sign in front of it),

that is: Error when indexing catalog /CCM/MASTER_CATALOG, locale EN- (Message no. /CCM/COMMON_SEARCH_M201)

(3) click on the "Details" button right of the error text, which pops

up a window with the detail error message:

GV_TREX_RETURN_CODE

1.507

GV_TREX_ERROR_TEXT

not enough disk space available;location=sapnwdev:30603

Please provide enough disk space for the TREX index server to

successfully finish the publishing process.

Hi Paula

We had faced the same problem.

Actually when we click on the Catalog URL and on next screen it gave an error "Error Time out Session ......"

The message was same as you are receivng.

Solution -

1 We had gone to Internet Explorer >tools> Internet options --> Security tab

Click on the custom level button choose the option "Low"

for Reset button

2 Click on trusted sites (In security tab)

Click on the sites button add the URL (Domain name and the server name )Add that as a trusted site.

3 Go to Advance tab and click on restore defaults and click on apply button

After this check the URL for Catalog in SRM web browser the error should disappear,

Hey guys,

Thanks for the tips. I had problems publishing due to TREX wasn't configured correctly.

Thanks,

Paula.
