Former Member

Hi,

This is the first time i am doing the online recovery of oracle DB after taking online backup.

So, this what i am facing while doing the activity.

"BR0752E Control files are not 'CURRENT' - complete recovery not possible"

Steps that i have performed before running brtools:

1>. Configured the profile (initQ50.sap) for full online backup to disk

2>. Online backup completed with RC=0

3>. BRARCHIVE completed with RC=0

4>. On the target system installed SAP , Oracle 10 restored all the BR * Logs

5>. Started completed recovery.

Hi Harwinder,

Before creating a new controlfile just rename old control file in according directories.

And retry to create a new controlfile. It will solve your problem.

hi,

It seems that your control file is not up to date. You can create new control file with sqlplus command :

>CREATE CONTROLFILE SET DATABASE u201C<DATABASE NAME>u201D RESETLOGS ARCHIVELOG

to create new control file.
