SSO between Standalone webdispatcher and Portal

Hi,

We have a scenario where in, Standalone SAP Web Dispatcher lies between the Internet and SAP system. The webdispatcher has message server host and HTTP port of the SAP System.

The entry point is through HTTP requests which gets directed to message server port of BW application server to display Bex web templates. These Bex web templates have URL links for bex reports running on BI Portal. There is SSO configured between the BW application server and BI portal.

When the URL is clicked through the standaone Dispatcher, Login is prompted for the BW app server which displays the web templates with links to Bex reports running on BI Portal. When we click the link on the webtemplates login screen again prompted for BI Portal.

How do we avoid the second login prompt....?

Thanks

Praveen

Hi Praveen,

so the company internal requests (internal network) do work with SSO between

BI application servers and BI CI ?

The webdispatcher is routing the external, incoming http reqeusts, from users

which are not in the internal network. Meaning those are coming in from outside

the companies network. Is that here where SSO is not working ? Otherwise

please elaborate on

"When the URL is clicked through the standaone Dispatcher"

The webdispatcher is responsible for URL filtering and forwarding http

requests.

Hi Andreas,

Yes the company internal request works through SSO. The webdispatcher is routing the external requests to the corresponding message server.

Thanks
