Hi! ALL
We have installed PI 7.1 and were going over our check list to make sure installation is complete and system is ready..
However, going over the standard check list we found that the following RFC connection failed:
INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI : When we clicked test connection; it had the Status Text as "Internal Server Error"
However, our messages are flowing fine thru PI ...
Would like to know where the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI is used; as it seems to have an error when tested...but, we haven't seen any problems in terms of message flow through PI.
Please, let us know the purpose/functionality of INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI and how we can fix this error.
Thank you,
Ritu
Hi Ritu,
If the connection test for the RFC dest INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI returns code 500 (Internal Server Error), then it indicates that everything is okay.
The RFC destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI is used to store the data in the cache.
Thanks,

Yes, Pooja the Status HTTP response is 500 & Status Text is "Internal Server Error"
Also, as Ramesh mentioned above...I was able to use the tcode SXI_CACHE and the cache is up to date too.
So, should ignore the "Internal Server Error"?
Please, confirm. Thank you for your response & help!
Regards,
Ritu

Yes, your RFC dest INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI connectivity is fine.
Check out page 16th to get more info on INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI

Hi,
This connection is important for updating the objects from ID to ABAP stack.
This connection is not working means, even SXI_CACHE tcode will have errors. Cache will not get updated. PIAPPLUSER is used in this connection. Check the user is not locked and entered with correct password. Check the checkbox for Accept cookies.
Thanks,
Jogula Ramesh
