Hi Guys,
We have completed an implementation of GRC AC 5.3 but would like to clear the number ranges that currently maintains test data. We can't find any info on how to do this in any of the guides or SAP Notes.
Maintained Number Ranges:
From Number To Number Current Number Active
1 50 51 No
51 100 101 No
101 2147483647 153 Yes
Any suggestions?
These values are maintained in table VIRSA_AE_USR_SEQ
Thank you,
Ben Grobler
Hi Ben,
Export the initial configuration data from where you import the xml files in CUP.
Open the exported file , in one of the xml files search for Keyword Number Range , you would get parameter values . Just change those values as they suit u , and save it .
Import just that xml file into AE again with clean and insert option.
You are good to go .
Thanks
Jasmine

Hello!
We have this problem too and have sent message to SAP Support. We have next answer:
"Basically, the purpose of export and import on this module is to just
copy the data from one system to other system (just like system copy)
Really there is no specific condition to check whether the system is DEVor QA or Prod.
But, if some data alreay exists in system, then CUP will not update the
record from import file.
So, in this scenario, you need to maintain number range
before they import data from other system so that the existing number
range will not be modified. But since you already loaded the export
file, this is not an option."
Who knows how can we solve our problem with number range?

Denis Gaykov

Hi Ben,
There is no direct way to remove number ranges from CUP. Don't remove data from the table you mentioned as it will create data inconsistency. SAP gets lots of requests about this so open a customer message with SAP. Ask SAP to provide you SQL script to delete data related to requests which includes number ranges. Request number depends on number ranges so you can not just delete number ranges and keep request data.
