BR0274E File '/oracle/CMP/102_64/dbs/sap.ora' not found

Hi SAP Experts,

BR0274E File '/oracle/CMP/102_64/dbs/sap.ora' not found

BR0303E Determination of Oracle version failed

I encountered this error today due to which backup failed.

I have never encountered this error before

I checked the previous backup logfile which was successfull

BR0477I Oracle pfile /oracle/CMP/102_64/dbs/initCMP.ora created from spfile /oracle/CMP/102_64/dbs/spfileCMP.ora

I checked in dbs directory of oracle 102_64(Oracle version 10)

both these files r present

ls

agent.lic initCMP.dba initCMP.ora.86200864438 initCMP.utl initCMP_HWU.utl.20080906.VP initdw.ora

hc_CMP.dat initCMP.dba.19032008 initCMP.ora20080906.VP initCMP.utl20080906.VP initCMP_VA.sap lkCMP

init.ora initCMP.ora initCMP.sap initCMP_HWU.sap initCMP_VA.utl spfileCMP.ora

initCMP.bki initCMP.ora.19032008 initCMP.sap.19032008 initCMP_HWU.utl initCMP_VA.utl.20080906.VP spfileCMP.ora.20080906.VP

also the SAP backup profile initCMP_HWU.sap is also present

I think its a temporary glitch

I think someone called brbackup with incorrect parameters;

e.g. in DB13 someone gave sap.ora as profile.

I dont think thats the reason

because backup is scheduled daily on the system and was succesfull till this date.

Are you not have in same time any other backup operations executed (like redo log backup).? Try to check it.

while brarchive started at 00.01.07

So is it like only 1 backup operation was able to access the file??

Both the operations were triggered at same time .I gave exact time of triggering

00 hrs.00 mins.07 secs

plzz tell me whether the error is bcoz of this situation.
