Dispatcher starts & die immediately

Hi Experts,

I am having 1 Production server. Taken the full databse backup.

This backup I wanted to restore on new production server.

I kept same System name, System ID,System No.& IP address as same as old production server.

I restore that database on new production server. But afer restoration of databse the SAP MMC (dispatcher starts then stop) workprocesses dispayed status Ended.

Please give me solution how can I recover SAP MMC.

Hi Nitin,

The issue is with the schema conversion of your source DB to target Db .

To solve this issue, either run STM tool as mentioned above by Rohit .Otherwise you can run the scripts attached with the SAP note Refer SAP note Note 551915 .Here You will get a Zip file in that Two scripts are attached. Use the appropriate script to run. You have to customize the scripts for your scenario . Run it using Query Analizer /visual Studio .

After running this script, it would be fine , that your system will be runnig fine as the schema will be converted .

It looks as you have not run the STM (SAP Tools for Mssql Server).We need to run these after the restoration so as map the schemas and all

Hi Rohit,

my issue is like same..

i have made a test server. with same sid as production server. i have taken full backup from MS SQL Studio.

i have restored the backup and overwrites sapdata1,sapdata2,sapdata3 and log file of newly installed test server.

after restoring the backup my disp+work is stoped.

i aslo run the querry on sql server script.
