Trial version error during install..

Hi,

I have downloaded SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP trial version..on installing -> to start the application server..

I got the error msg quoting database not connected...type NET HELPMSG 2185..

wat is that mean?

n wat i need to do here?

Hi Venkatesh,

Its not clear what you are willing to say.

Have you installed DB s/w, next Central Instance and then the database instance already?

I just explored myself on that error ...two things i missed out picked wrong servuce name and the console server was not started..

So I quess this is Windows OS and MAX DB, am I correct?

Error "NET HELPMSG 2185" means The service name is invalid.

Please check if you windows service.

and provide more info.

Hi,

Post error log from c:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir directory. you may need to go to sub directories and dig out the error message.
