Changing The Invoking URL for WD Appln

For invoking a standalone Web dynpro appln through a browser you have to give a very long url name like

http://server:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/app/Wdpapp

Is there a mechanism of using some alias or short logical url name instead of this url.

The idea is to avoid the user from remembering such a long url.

I suppose Some configurations in the proxy server can enable this ..But is there something other than this?
