Dear Tech Masters,

Our data centre located in Singapore, I have installed SAP router in the Landscape. I am using SNC. Is that mandatory to use "sapserv2" (SAP network support server) for connection Or I can use the "sapserv7" of Singapore. As mentioned in service market place "sapserv2" is for SNC Global and sapserv7 is Singapore server. I am confuse over this.

This is my first SAP Router installation. Please help me.

Regards

Rabi Pal

Hello Rabi,

For setting up the connection to SAP:

Choose a connection type and apply for your connection.

Provide SAP with the data it needs to set up the connection between your SAProuter system and the SAP support server using the Remote Connection Data Sheet (SAP Note 0028976).

Configure your network components (SAProuter).

Once a remote connection is established, enter the required logical connections between your R/3 systems and SAP. You will find a description of this procedure in SAP Note 31515.

Also you can refer to https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/saprouter.This will give you alll the info. you want about SAP router

Let me know if you have any questions

Hi ,

I am using SNC , I have done with all configuration and sent data sheet to SAP. If I change CN=sapserv7 in saproutab as :

#SNC-Connection from and to SAP

KT "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.131.34 *

KT "p:CN=sapserv7, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.134.35 *

Will that work.

where as in service market place Target is showing as sapserv1. Do I need to change this as well ..??

SAProuter Name Distinguished Name (Parameter for SAPGENPSE) Target (on SAP-side)

CustSAPRouter CN=SAPRouter, OU=*********, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE sapserv1

Please suggest.

you have to re-register the distinguished name and ask SAP to change the target to sapserv7.

Make sure you change it on transaction OSS1 >> technical settings too.
