MSC-01004 Could not create task file

Hi,

I am installing the NW04SR1 (windows 2000, slq) and inthe database instance installation. And it crash in the step 16 with this message:

MSC-01004 Could not create task file C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW04SR1\WEBAS_ABAP_MSS_NUC\DB/SAPSLOAD.TSK

Well, my experience is that you MUST have all the export cds/dvds on LOCAL drives in Windows environment (local drives). Only after I have copied network images to local disk, I was able to pass this step normally.

I suspect that the reason behind this is that sapadm user on my local server had no right for the network share that contained the export images.

Hello,

I encountered this problem at phase 25 of 39 (DB load) installing DB instance (ERP2004), and cannot find any solution below is the log:

I'm stuck here, done different steps (copied DVD's into local directory), reset installation 4 times but to no avail. What could go wrong? Pls. help thanks..
