Hi,
When you create your truck as a packaging material and you pack the material in the packaging material you can setup the packaging material with an allowed maximum weight.

hello, friend.
you can specify a weight restricition when you define the ROUTE. since the default parameter is weight, you would have to determine the capacity equivalent of your Volume restriction.
if you are using LE-TRA, the restriction takes effect when you include deliveries in your shipment. if the delivery quantities lead to an excess over your set restriction, you have the option of splitting your deliveries so that the items can be accomodated in the truck or other transport vessel. for the split to be effected, you must have configured a split profile.
if this is closer to what you are looking for, please post feedback.

Loading the cargo in a truck is a physical activity and how system knows the capacity of the truck unless you maintain the same in any table.
Through standard, this is not possible. To achieve this, you can try with delivery user exits V50R0001 or V50S0001. Instead of implementing this control in sale order, it is better to have the same in delivery and based on this delivery, you can generate billing.

Hi
You can configure this using LO Delivery type-which is Delivery without order refrence.
You need not create a order, u can start with a delivery then the billing document. Whatever is the weight of the truck after filling that quantity can be taken a deliverred quantity and same would be billed.
Try this scenario, it is very simple and effective too, I have tried it for one of my Major client's, it was successful and still being used by my client. Any other help in configuring this scenario is welcome.

hello again.
i have limited access to SAP right now, so i will try to recall from memory (which is very fuzzy, i admit).
when you define your route (using tcode 0VTC), highlight this and click on the 'details' button (magnifying glass). you will go to the next screen and you will see 'AlwdTotWt'. specify the value and UoM. since the parameter is weight, you will have to convert your volume into weight. you can further specify that this route is for a certain shipping type; it is then possible to assign different routes to vessels of varying capacities (e.g. ROUTE1 to truck with 10 ton capacity, ROUTE2 to trailer with 20 ton capacity, etc.).
subsequent delivery split is defined in tcode OVDSP. this will enable you to split an already created delivery document into 2 or more documents, which all update the referenced and original sales order. you can do the split from within the shipment document or by doing tcode VLSP.
hope you can proceed from this point. good luck.
regards.
any config settings on how to implement this scenario in SAP from any one.
cheers
