Hi,
I am installing SAP Netweaver 2004 (ABAP+Java) on SuSE Linux-10 server platform. I installed Linux and SUN-J2SDK on Linux.However, installation throws out below lib errors.
Not sure, if this is due to SuSe 10 version ? It is greatly appreciated, if any help on this.
However, these files / links are available at /lib dir.
Thanks,
Raj

Dear Raj,
SLES10 is too new to install versions like MaxDB 7.5 or SAP Kernel 6.40. You might try to install the compat-libstdc++5.0 packages, but I doubt, that this will work.
My suggestion is, that you should use the latest testdrive called N4S. It comes with a new MaxDB and a new SAP Kernel. In case this is no option for you, you have to use SLES9 to install this very old testdrive you are using.
Thanks,
Hannes

Hi Hannes,
Thanks..I just started working on test drive again..I am downloading NS4 as suggested..
I am currently downloading below.. Is it correct one for my SuSE Linux 64 bit ?
"N4S Testdrive SAP Web Application Server on Linux Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7"
Also not sure, If I need to download below MaxDB 64 bit ( I installed SuSE Linux 64 bit over VMWare with base o/s is Win 2008) ? I could see below instruction in download web page
[Download|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/maxdb-downloads] 64-Bit Linux Version for x86_64 based upon MaxDB 7.6(7x650MB)
Any guidance is appreciated..Thanks in advance..

I have the same error as mentioned above at the begining of this message. I am running in 32bit openSuse 11, SAP WAS 6.40, SAP NetWeaver Devloper Studio, MaxDB 7.5. as you can see below here the problem with JDK but, I can't solve it.
In a different installation, I have succeded Installing it but with IBM DB2 which I can't get a try licencse anymore. So I am trying with MaxDB 7.5 now to avoid DB licencse problems.
Any help is appreciated

Hi Raj
Please go through now 958253 about your library checking. Besides, before starting installation, have you complied kernel of SLES 10? Which version is it? Please give me a pre-screening about your environment for all prerequisite checking.
Thanks,
Effan

Hi Effan,
Thanks for your reply. I have not complie anything. My installation is as follows:
Desk top - AMD Athlon 64 - Dual core
O/S - Win 2008
VMware - Server ( 64 Bit) -->
Linux SuSE 10 server ( 64 bit)--->
SUN J2SDK 32-bit --->
SAP - NW2004 ---> throws lib errors
Question - is there difference bet using SUM / IBM J2SDK ?
Thanks,
Raj
