Password-protect generated PDFs

Hello,

just started with generating PDFs using ADS, but a topic where I did not find information on is how to protect the PDF files using a password.

Maybe this thread is related to my question:

Is it right, that the Adobe Document Services do not support this part yet (password protection, ...)?

If so, when will it be availabe, is there a future release that it is planned for?

Hi Maximilian,

this is a feature currently not supported on ADS.

This feature is part of Adobe's stand-alone server product LiveCycle Policy Server, so chances of integrating it into the SAP technology are currently rather slim.

Hi Markus,

Does Adobe Lefecycle Designer 7.1 still not support setting securtiy settings for a generated pdf?

Settings such as password to open pdf, disable printing, etc?
