ST-PI on upgrade R3

Hi people,

I trying to execute the prepare phase with the upgrade assistant and i get the next message error:

ERROR: To be able to use ASU Toolbox, your system requires

the ST-PI software component with at least Support Package Level 8

After the update is done, the module must be repeated!

It´s necessary to have the add on st-pi installed in your R3 for the upgrade to ECC 6.0???

Hello,

download the latest SAPup from the marketplace, delete the content of the upgrade directory, start PREPRARE from the CD and extract the actual SAPup to <upgrade directory>/bin.

This helped in my case. The message still appeares, but you can go on. In a later phase you must decide for the Upgrade of ST-PI.

Seems like you need ST-PI patch 8 and is ponting to the documentation... so it should be a prerequisite... Anyhow patching ST-PI is not a big problem... just download the patch(s) required and apply via SPAM.

If I was you I'll go through the pre-upgrade steps again.
