how to archive old log files

Hi,

our OS is AIX and DB is DB2.

there are no of files present in sapmnt/<SID>/global/<client no.>JOBLG directory, which are more than 1 week old.

could you please help me to archive the list of files either from SAP Level or from OS level

Just schedule reorg jobs RSBTCDEL should delete old batch job logs...

Read SAP Note 16083

Hi,

this job has been running successfully with time interval as "daily".

it is showing that sapmnt/<SID>/100JOBLG contains which are ollder then week. please suggest me how to archive from OS level otherwise?

If they are older than a week and you want to keep them just make a backup of them and delete them from the system...

You can also check the variant that youre using with RSBTCDEL

i agree with Juan.. in this point - If they are older than a week and you want to keep them just make a backup of them and delete them from the system...

Just schedule reorg jobs RSBTCDEL2 should delete old batch job logs... it recommended by SAP not to schedule RSBTCDEL as it deletes all the log files. you can use the program RSBTCDEL2.
